Dog Show

Well, the dog show wasn't all that great.... all the people showing their dogs seemed to be very serious and then mad when their dog lost. It was pretty hot out as well, so there weren't many spectators. Better luck next time. I did enjoy seeing all the dogs walk by. There were some beauties out there!!!

Famers market at Playwicki farm

The farmer's market is a great place to buy local home grown produce.... homemade baked goods from a local bakery, homemade soaps and of course homemade dog treats. They are looking for more vendors if anyone knows someone. It is a high traffic area so many people do stop by on their way home from work.

Farmers Market here I come!!!!

I will be at the Langhorne Famer's market on Tuesdays for a good bit of the summer and The farmers market at playwicki farm on Wednesdays for the entire summer to sell a variety of treats. I also plan on going to a few flea markets. I have one dog show lined up as well. I am hoping the treats will be a success and to acquire some more fans and loyal customers.

Care of Treats - Helpful Hints!!!!

Treats should be sealed in a sealed tight container. Best if stored in the refrigerator. If you do not use the treats within 2 weeks, store in freezer up to 3 months.

Treats contain no additives or preservatives...they are freshed baked goods that will spoil if not properly cared for.

Treat order

I have a decent order thanks to Dogs and Cats Rule... what nice people!!! Hope all works out. I am pretty excited about this, and I am actually enjoying myself. That is what counts isn't it? I need to bake everything before the weekend so that I can then run Broad Street. Can't wait until that is over. I have a good amount of pictures to post. Definitely need to get them up soon!!! I will work on that after the baking is complete.

So, I made all the treats on the menu.... all the small and large taste testers have enjoyed all of them. The videos are pretty funny and the pups are so cute.

I had two customers so far, not too bad for a start. Let's remember, this only begin a little over a week ago.

Gave a bunch of flyers out this weekend and today.Going to sell Buster's Minty breathe mints at the herb sale. I am also planning on attending the flea market on June 19th at playwicki farm. Possibly be some other locations over the summer. Making sure to have fun while doing it!!!!!!

Two new treats!!!

So tonight, a meaty bacon treat and a veggie sweet potato treat was made. This of course was tested by Nola. She waited patiently until they were ready. My taste testers at work will get to try their portions tomorrow. Names are being developed... all the names of these tasty treats will come from all the dogs in our family;past and present.

Big ideas, samples, taste testers

This is very new idea... so if you are a follower, you will be sharing in this experience from the beginning.

This short journey began last weekend when I attended a Pet Fair with my son, daughter and mother-in-law. As we were walking around, I stopped at a home- made treat vendor. I made a purchase for our pup and then it dawned on me!!! I should be doing this. Why not make healthy natural treat for dogs? I think it is a fabulous idea!!!

It really made me think....after losing two dogs to two different types of cancers,in December was a very difficult emotional time for our family. Granted, they were both old in age, but who really knows. Did their disease have anything to do with the dog food or treat they ate? We will never know, but I think it is worth the time and effort to make homemade treat for this new pup. Natural food is definitely more healthy than feeding animals food with so many preservatives. Some of the additives have been linked to different typed of cancers. So why continue to do the same thing? I am hoping it will make a difference for her.

So this is basically the way this blog and idea has come about. I am hoping to share my treats with other and we shall see where that goes!!!!!!

Made three different batches of treats this week and have had co-worker's dogs taste test. So far, two paw up on every treat!!!! I am hoping to upload some videos in the future. I need to get a little more savy with technology. Pictures to come also.
